Kids Tuna Mayo & Cucumber Green Butter Leaf Wraps
Soft butter lettuce cups filled with creamy tuna and fresh cucumber. No bread, no stress — just clean, fun, handheld bites kids will love.
Shopping List
1 head Green Butter Leaf Lettuce, leaves gently separated
½ Lebanese Cucumber, thinly sliced into sticks or rounds
PANTRY CHECK
1 x 95g can Tuna in Springwater, drained
2 tbsp Whole-Egg Mayonnaise
1 tsp Lemon Juice (optional)
Salt & Pepper to taste (go light for kids)
Optional: Grated cheese, shredded carrot, or sweet corn for extra filling
METHOD
- Prepare the butter leaves: Gently wash and pat dry the green butter leaves. These soft, pliable leaves make the perfect natural wrap with no need for cooking or cutting.
- Make the tuna mayo: In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, and lemon juice if using. Season lightly with salt and pepper, then stir until creamy and spreadable.
- Build the wraps: Lay out the butter leaves like little green taco shells. Spoon a heaped tablespoon of tuna mayo into each, then top with cucumber slices and any extra fillings such as cheese or corn.
- Wrap and roll: Fold the sides of the leaves in, then roll from the base up like a mini burrito. Serve open-style for toddlers or wrap tightly for lunchboxes using baking paper or foil.
TOP TIP
Soft, flexible, and slightly sweet — perfect for little hands and teeth. It holds its shape without tearing, making it the ideal no-bread wrap solution for kids.
